Sympathy

Last saturday, Cyclone hit Myanmar badly, so many people died. A giant wave washed in, dragging everything into the sea. Houses and building collapsed and people were swept away. An estimated million people left homeless by devastating cyclone. Many countries had offered assistance to Myanmar, like water, food, medical supply, tent, etc.
These few days, many people here talked about this cyclone incident. People showed sympathy, they donated clothes and money.
Yesterday , I passed by a coffee shop and overheard the conversation as follow:
Richard:" David, I feel sad that so many cyclone victims still waiting water and food." David:" This is not my country, nothing do with me."
Richard:" David, how can you say that? we are all human, we should show sympathy and offer help. We should not just ignore it. How about if these things happened to you and your family?"
David:" Richard, sorry, you are right, I am so selfish. I should show sympathy."
Friends, Do you behave like David while hearing this cyclone incident? I feel sad for them and I will donate some money.
